Opening nears for new upscale Persian restaurant in Post Oak area.

After plans were first announced May 2021, the opening is nearing for Rumi's Kitchen, a new upscale Persian restaurant coming to a Post Oak Boulevard.

The eatery will open in October in a mixed-use development at 1801 Post Oak Blvd., Ste. 120, Houston, according to an Aug. 8 update from restaurant officials.

The eatery will specialize in traditional Persian cuisine with Middle Eastern influences. Other offerings will include a Persian-themed cocktail program and jeweled rice, a Persian dish made with butter and spices, named for its golden color.
